I wasn't as active as I could have been on the old forum, but whenever I needed help, It was always received. The people on the forum were the friendliest of all other forums I've been on, and also the most helpful. i still read old posts that I've made when I can't remember how to do something. I maintain a openSUSE 11.3 x86_64 machine for my daughter. It was the best choice for her. The openSUSE releases are always well tested and stable before they are released, unlike many other distros.
I'm glad to be back and that Crouse has kept the forum alive. I hope everyone else finds they're way back, too.

Glad to have you here, Chris. Hope to see more from you. Is the address for Crouse's forum the same as it was? I haven't deleted the bookmark yet. Smile

Actually the old forum http://opensuse.us/ refers to another forum http://usalug.com/phpBB3/ which does not have a referral to this forum. I found this forum here https://suseunbound.canadaboard.net/news-f3/opensuseus-down-for-good-t211.htm when googling "opensuse.us" I was to lazy to type http://.

While not a Dave Crouse Forum most of us here were members of his recently demised Forum. SUSEUnbound was started by some of the old members of the SUSE Forum just after the start of the Official Forum combined the two larger independent Forums. We have been in operation for a little over 2.5 years. First hosted by Lefora and than we moved to this more open source friendly Host in Feb this year. We had been using Lefora as an Archive site but that has recently been taken down. The Founders of SUSEUnbound were Deltaflyer, FeatherMonkey and I.

We hope that you find the place here to be a good replacement for opensuse.us. Any suggestions are always welcome. Once again thanks for giving us a look.

Glad you found your way here Chris. Like a lot of the other members here I've been part of the original suselinuxsupport.de (sls), and through its split.

Later I found crouse's opensuse.us forum and it led me to usalug.net too. Another good community of friends over there.

When the sls forum and suseforum reunited to make the official forum, I followed and tried but it never felt quite like home. I was happy to find out Matt, Delta, and FM had started up another forum. This forum and our associated irc room are home.
