| ...what the dog doing besides barking?
...if she's going to get a new dog?
...if it was legal to use air guns in the city limits if this wouldn't happen so often? (7 *reported* attacks in four months?)
...if the missing cats/dogs that are blamed on coyotes/dognappers are actually victims of raccoon gangs?
...are the Raccoon Gangs going to spread to other cities and take over from the Crips and Bloods?

Raccoons Attack Alameda Woman Animals Puncture Victim's Leg
POSTED: 8:15 am PST November 10, 2010 UPDATED: 8:25 am PST November 10, 2010
ALAMEDA, Calif. -- It started with "a pair of eyes."
It ended with an Alameda woman screaming and her dog barking after a raccoon bit her, puncturing her leg.
The Oakland Tribune reports 33-year-old Rachel Campos de Ivanov was walking her 20-pound Yorkshire terrier at about 11 p.m. Sunday when she spotted the eyes near a fence around a baseball diamond at Washington Park.
Next thing she knew, a raccoon was walking toward them, then she saw four more descending from the trees.
Campos de Ivanov tried to get away, but tripped. That's when one of the raccoons sunk its teeth into her leg as she tried to protect her face.
She'll undergo rabies treatment for several weeks.
Meantime, Alameda County Vector Control is investigating the Attack -- the seventh reported since June.

| Seems that folks in California have been having quite a few animal attacks. Probably the animals can sense the weakened condition of the people of the State. Predators always like to pick off the young and infirm. | |

| air gun? Sounds like a good reason to carry a shotgun. I've never heard of anything like raccoon gangs attacking people. We have gangs of them attack our sweet corn every summer. | |

| First thought: Raccoons are trying to take over the world! Second thought: Only in Alameda; this guy deserved it! Third thought: What did he tell his wife? "I slammed it in the car door" probably wouldn't be any better than the truth! | |
