Kde 4.3.5 update.

I have not loaded the kde 4.3.5 update yet though I thinking of doing so tonight. I just wonder if anyone has yet and what their experiences are with it? I hope the Klipper clip board is fixed by the update. I dislike that it is not as good as it was in 3.5. By that I mean it does not always pickup stuff copied like from Open Office or off the 'net.

In fact I can not say much about it. I upgraded to 4.3.5 before I started to use KDE 4 in earnest. I have some problems in using KDE 4 products (Kmail, Amarok) which you may know when you follow openSUSE Forums. But I bet that they were also there before KDE 4.3.5. Also from the other Forums I do not get the impression that it worse then before (with before I mean other KDE 4 levels, not KDE 3.5!).

I do not know the details of your problems with Klipper. I just did the following short test:
. opened a konsole and a OO document;
. selected text in the OO document (by left-button-down, move over text, release-button) and copied that to the konsole window (left click on position, middle-click to copy), this worked and looking into the Klipper applet I saw the selected text there.
. did a copy the other way around with the same positive result.
But maybe this does not cover your problem at all.

Good to know that you are not experiencing problems with Klipper in 4.3.5. That gives me hope that it is fixed. I copy the same as you mention.

I updated from the update repository a few days ago when it came out. Went smooth, no problems at all. I don't see any differences to 4.3.1, so I believe is mostly a bugfix update and no new functions shipped. Don't know about the klipper bug, since I haven't noted it before. What was its effect?

To annoy me no end.

It does not copy to klipper from Office, or the net sometimes. Have tried various settings to klipper in 4.3.1 but have not been able to correct this.

seems to work now.

Updated to 4.3.5. I still have the issue with Office and Klipper. Sometimes it leaves a blank space on the list of klipper copies instead of the stuff high lighted for copy. Not sure what causes the behavior since it is intermittent.

Everything else seems ok though I have not had time to really check stuff out.

I have no problem copying from writer of firefox. Seems to work great
