Just joined again?

Well,....I've not loged in to openSUSE forums for quite some time now and when I did I received an error message and so this (looking the most like the forum I was once on) is where I chose to join.

I have been using 11.2 but am about to upgrade and have been using Linux for several years. I do auto body for a living and if I may ask as I see familiar names, is this forum a replacement for the old one of about a year or so ago (http://opensuse.us/phpBB2/)?

We do have some of the members of the opensuse.us here. Though we are not a replacement site as such. We passed 2 years since SUSEUnbound was created. It started in response to the creation of the Official SUSE site that combined two of the largest user based sites and was supported by the OpenSUSE distribution under Novell's banner and guidance.

Some of the more open opensuse users felt the need to have a place that was not directly under the Novell charter. Originally the SUSEUnbound site was hosted by Lefora but last year we moved to this host.

There are some really great members here and we are always pleased to welcome more. Thanks for joining.

Welcome aboard findoctr!!!! I knew that I recognized that username when the new member emailed appeared.

I had loged on to the other forum first and didn't see many familiar names but posted a question and got a smart arse answer. Didn't seem to be a very friendly atmosphere to me.

I kept my old avatar for familiarity.
