For screwing up my taxes and getting me audited by the state and owing more taxes for 2008 and 2009.

Ouch! Sounds like no fun. I have never been audited but I know several people that were (my brother being one) and it ended up costing them a lot of money. affraid

I've never had my taxes done by someone else, but doesn't H&R Block share some of the liability? Ultimately it's on you, I know, but I thought they had some kind of guarantee, like they'll pay the penalties, you're just liable for the back taxes? Although that's bad enough; you think you're good and spend all your money, then this comes up. Bad time of year, too. Is the IRS being reasonable about it? Payment plans, etc.?

That's one app (Quicken equivalent) that Linux will probably not have for a long time, if ever. Too much to keep up on, with a *very* small customer base. Too bad.

I actually used their Tax Cut software the last couple of years and those are the only two years they found problems. Before that I always used Turbo Tax, but Tax Cut was cheaper. I haven't called them yet, but the box does say they will pay interest, penalties, and give a full refund for the software. Its not a huge amount, but I'm still not happy. As a matter of fact if H&R refund me all of the a fore mentioned money it will come to about half what I owe.
