I use to make my sauce from scratch cooking it for hours but now it only takes as long as the pasta takes to cook.
One jar of ready to use sauce.(any brand)
Finely chopped garlic. ( I use 3-4 cloves and let set for 10 min. prier to use.)
1/3 of a fresh finely chopped carrot.
1 oz red wine.
Tablespoon of brown sugar.
Teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
Place the garlic and carrot in pan with a little olive oil,cover and heat till sizzling then add the jar sauce, wine, brown sugar and spices and heat to boil then slow simmer till the noodles are done.
You will be surprised at how much it tastes like homemade sauce. MANGIARE !
