Well, with a new release comes the criticism, the pro's and con's.
As always it seems that the reviewers arn't "real" opensuse users.
Here's what some of them said;
http://www.linuxuser.co.uk/reviews/opensuse-12-1-review-new-heights-of-high-tech/
http://desktoplinuxreviews.com/2011/11/26/opensuse-12-1-kde/
http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/opensuse-12-1-high-end.html
http://unsolicitedbutoffered.blogspot.com/2011/11/opensuse-121-review-initial-impressions.html

These are just a few, but please do check other reveiws also, or do as I do. Just keep using what works for you:)
Oh just so you know, I've been a diehard suse user since 8.3 release...

I believe that some reviews are not too flattering - and I am sure there is justification for that.
I have done a zypper dup on my sandbox computer and all went well. starts up nicely, sound works and internet and display OK. I will give it a more in depth run later - summer is here, and I've got work to do today.

12.1 seems to work fairly decent from what I can see. I installed from the Live KDE Cd and so far so good. About the only thing I am still not a fan of is the time it takes to refresh the repositories and that the Software Manager shuts down after each install requiring it to be restarted. I know that many just use the command line but I am not the worlds fastest or most accurate typist.

Dolphin is a lot more stable than the one in 11.2 was. I have not gone to the effort to get all the multimedia players installed. I probably won't in this computer since it is mostly just for Internet use.
