Not really stroganov, more like a hamburger helper. IF you have never used "Morning Star" products than you will be pleasantly surprised with this. (My daughter is a vegetarian)

1 package of "Morning Star crumbles" browned in a frying pan (It looks and tastes like ground beef)

1lb egg noodles cooked as directed.

Now the sauce can vary to taste but here is how I do it.
In a sauce pan heat 1or2 tbs flower mixed with a little oil and water to make a "gravy" base.
Add a little wine, some garlic and a can of condensed cream of soup with water. (cream of mushroom or cream of celery or any cream soup you like)
Add 4-5 slices of cheese. (American is good but my favorite is Gruyere)

Heat and stir until smooth and to boiling point.

Combine cooked strained noodles, browned crumbles and sauce. ( steamed peas are also a very good addition)

Sounds pretty good, considering there's no meat. (Says the confirmed carnivore.) I've a few vegetarians in the family, also. It's good to have a few recipes around for them.
