They may be having a glitch or it maybe something to do with Novell being sold. Not sure when one of the Admins from over there will stop by this Forum. We do have a few that occasionally stop by. Hope one responds to your post.

On IRC oldcpu said that he's heard of that problem when the username you are trying to register is already taken.

After trying several names and being rejected, I entered a totally random sequence of 16 characters. Still the same response. I think it's lying to me.

You would think they would have things fixed over there buy now. Doubt I could even remember my password to get into those forums.

I believe it is a routing problem, but all is not lost. I went to novell.com, and registered. I was unable to use the same username as here, but I did manage to create an account. Since openSUSE uses the same platform, the username/password works there as well.
At least now I can let them know about the account creation problem.
