| I think that it might be time to build an Ark around here. The last 3 nights we've gotten over 11 inches of rain and have flooding that's breaking 1993 records around here. Last week we received 5 inches so the ground was fully saturated. Rainfall: Sunday 5.5 inches Monday .6 of an inch Tuesday 5.25 An aerial view of some of the flooding http://www.kcci.com/video/24597290/index.html | |

| Ark building sounds like a good Idea! If you take your pulling truck and a tractor as a pair, you might get some interesting new vehicles for the next pull! Hopefully you're on high enough ground that you'll have time to get the ark finished, or, even better, you won't really need the ark after all. Keep us posted. | |

| Send some of that rain down my way. It has gotten so dry where I am at the trees are loosing their leaves. Day after day of 100 degree F. Plus with the humidity it has made for being confined most of the day.
Hope your place does not get flooded, bdquick.

| We have the same heat and humidity too Matt, expect it keeps falling out of the sky. Tonight it looks like Welan's neck of the woods is getting big storms. We have another chance tomorrow, and then the weatherman claims it could stay dry. The town I live in left a message telling us to be prepared to lose water, because the wells might flood.
The city of Ames was told they wouldn't have water restored until middle of next week. So far they have found 8 water main breaks.

| Yes, we're expected to get hit with rain and other weather this evening.. We haven't had as much rain as bd has but like a good northerner we always send the excess south (may in some small way have contributed to the flooding) Don't worry BD I'm sending a row boat of sweet corn your way... | |

| I noticed they mentioned the water trouble on the national news about Ames. It sure has been one hot summer in the mid US. | |

| The boat load of sweet corn would sure be tasty. There is rain starting to build in the area, hopefully it doesn't develop much.
Anheuser Bush is starting to bottle water in beer cans to distribute for free. I just think it would be a cool keepsake.

| Well my town was asked to start conserving water Friday. It was projected to rain and they were afraid the water level would get up into the electrical parts. Wasn't hard for me since I was leaving town anyways. The notices are still up around town, even though it has not rained. Took some laundry down to the parents to do, incase I returned to no water. Hopefully they lift the request tomorrow.
The weather is projected to be dry all week, except for one 20% chance of rain. Lets hope it returns to normal.
