| Our friend and forum member Eds has passed away, leaving behind his wife, teenage son, and father. He took his own life the night of June 11th. He was online chatting with me and others that morning. He sent me a video of them playing the weekend before. His friend I got the news from said they had spoken with him just hours before and he seemed fine. With his band, The Cheddar Cheese Band, performing at a charity event the previous weekend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWWiGL32ogAHis dad is the man on the left side and Eds is playing guitar on the right side of the stage. | Words can not express my sadness. My heart goes out to his Family. I do not know of what personal Demons led to this tragedy. I do know we all have them and a person should reach out to others before allowing them to destroy.

| Eds was there for me when i first started using suse 10 5 years ago. He was kind yet would never suffer a fool. His insight and raw skill is what allowed me to become the linux engineer i am today and his love of glen livet is what encouraged me to start drinking scotch.
