Nothing more. Empty
PostSubject: Nothing more.   Nothing more. EmptyThu Mar 25, 2010 9:44 am

Once upon a database query, while I pondered wet and weary
Over many days of curious weather of unceasing dreary,
While I searched, nearly finding,
suddenly there came a tapping,
as if something gently rapping,
rapping at my computer core.
'Tis nothing dire,' I muttered, 'tapping at my computer core -
Only this and nothing more.'

Ah, distinctly I recall it was in the bleak March,
While loading Arch
That this noise wrought its ghost upon the core.
Eagerly I searched for Modor; - vainly I had sought to order
From my sources of replacement parts.
Oh the sorrow of a tapping computer core.
One power supply was nevermore.

Deep into the dark day peering,
Long my computer froze so nothing was appearing,
Doubting, dreaming things no one but Windows users had seen countless times before
But the power supply was broken and the computer gave no token,
the Internet remained unspoken,
Merely this and nothing more.

There was a moonshiner from Arkansas
Whose desire was never for Kansas
His computer did choke
His power supply had broke
But fortunately his spare he saw

This old geezer from deep in the woods
Changed his power supply, 'cause he could
As his computer now booted
Logged on as root, he did
Then went off in search of some food

His appetite now surfeited
He checked to see if his query completed
The tapping was gone
He decided he'd won!
And his poem, "Nothing More", he bequeathed us.

This time I bought
one with a lifetime guarantee wrought.
If you would ask it is 500 watt.
Although in China made it came
which some would consider lame.
At least it was better than previously got.
