Welcome to SuseUnbound, bchachar!

I have never used a separate download manager. I use Opera as my primary browser and the download manager that comes with it has always worked fine for me. For downloading and installing software from OpenSuse's repositories I've long thought Yast was one of OpenSuse's best feature's. A lot of folks prefer using zypper from the command line, however.

Check back in a few days, there may be someone else that has checked in with more ideas for you.

Have you tried using torrents?

Here's five download managers that have been around a while. I've heard of plenty of people using any of them, and they all have their adherents. 5 Download Managers These are all for CLI, but I believe at least a couple have GUI frontends that you can find.

I have not personally used them. As I said, I use Opera's download manager. It does support resume, and works well for me.

Good luck, and let us know if one (or more) works for you. Your feedback might help someone else in the future.

Since you're using OpenSuse, you can open Yast>Software Management and search for download manager. I just did, and Kget, FatRat, and the GUI version of Prozilla came up. However, I'm still using 11.0, so I'm not sure what you will find for a newer version. This would be the easiest (and safest) way to get and install one of these.

Sorry I didn't think of this first, I guess my head was somewhere else. Smile

I have always liked to use KGet, which will be in the repos if its not already installed. I've always had good luck with it, and it has the features you mentioned.
