Welcome to the forum, janasec! Your question is beyond my ability to answer, but someone who can will be along shortly. Traffic has been kind of slow lately, so some are only checking every couple of days. Be patient, I'm sure one of our gurus will be able to help.

Wish I knew more about this subject too, but its nothing I've ever needed. I've used tools like ssh and freenx to get to a server behind a firewall, but never a vpn. Not for sure what you're trying to do, but another option would be hardware vpns using something like ddwrt on a router. I've heard that is easy from other people.

It is possible, but requires that the tunneling and security be setup on both ends.
I'm not the guru to ask about this (I'm a penguin not a guru) tho I have read some doc's on the subject in the past.
If memory serves me right, it well probably take two people to set it up to start with.
Then it's a matter of getting/giving permissions and setting access parameters
Depending on your needs for this, you might want to consider other methods unless you feel you really need that much security. I can only recommend that you read the doc's for "ssh" and "vpn"
Once again I would recommend other methods of doing this, but as I don't know the specifics of your needs I can only offer my thought on the matter . DOH! sorry, welcome to the forum Shocked
