The Semi Annual; Just so-so Thursday Holiday, coincided with the yearly All Fools day Parade this year, so celebrations in Possum Blight were fairly massive. Heading up the All Fools Parade was the Towns Mayor, Eds (no relation on his mothers/sister side to Eds the proprietor of the Bowling Alley and PB&J Internet Cafe), as Parade Marshall. The All Fools Parade is almost always Headed by a Local Politician since they have the experience to run it.
Being as it is also a Spring ritual to welcome in the blooming of the algae on the Towns Municipal Waste Water lagoon, several visitors from outside ( Myrlin from Hogscald and Alastairo from Equatorial Dogpatch) were in Town to catch the festivities that are World renowned in scope and breath. (People mostly just hold their breath when visiting Town, does them no good).
The Towns Premiere Linux Group, RTFM-911, had contributed a float for the parade this year symbolizing Open Source and what you could build with a few old cars and some bailing wire and circuit boards. BDquick, the Towns Truck Pull Veteran Driver, operated the float. Which was a good thing since it was hauling many of the Towns largest Linux users. They had left their Basements to get in on the fun and enjoy throwing Live Cds to the crowds lining the Parade route.
As April Fools festivities wind down for another year heres hoping that everyone doesn't forget their relatives like last year. The place lost too many of its prominent citizens because no one was sober enough to remember where home was.
